Description

The aggregate economic model will be developed and studied to better understand contemporary macroeconomic conditions. Comparative static modeling of unemployment, government spending, the deficit, price, growth and international trade will be covered in detail. The monetary system, along with banking, and role of government regulation will be developed in the aggregate economy as well. Finally, particular emphasis will be given to the role international transactions (trade and investment) play in shaping today’s global economic environment. This course fulfills the Social Science General Education requirement.
