LA 202 Latin Honors

Latin IV/V Honors is a college-level course intended for students in their fifth year of study of Latin at Orchard Park High School. It aligns with the curriculum of Intermediate Latin (Latin 202) at Hilbert College; students can co-enroll at Hilbert College to earn three college credit hours for the course. The course continues to build on the knowledge, vocabulary, and communication skills that students acquired in Latin III. Students integrate interpretive, interpersonal and presentational communication skills within interesting and relevant contexts, guiding students to explore culture and events in both ancient and modern settings to examine the products and practices of the ancient Roman world to reveal the perspectives that create cultural diversity.
